6-2 Regular Selections
1-0 Strong Selections
Montreal -1.5 **Strong Selection X2**
(playing this to the equivalent of 2 strong plays)
Toronto will be resting a lot of their key starters on both sides of the ball. Kicker N. Prefontaine is also out due to injury. His loss is key because he handles both punting and FG kicking duties, and is quite good at it. Back up QB M. Bishop will also start. He has had lots of game action this year because of injury to the starter but he is clearly inferior to starter D. Allen. Also this is not a good matchup for him against Montreal's agressive blitzing defense. Quotes from the coach give me the idea he doesn't give a rats ass about the outcome of this game and just wants to rest his starters and focus on the playoffs.
Montreal will play all their starters (at least for the first half) and generally seem to have more interest in this contest. I believe this is the case because in past years they have stumbled into the playoffs. They had a strong performance last week dismantling Ottawa and I expect another strong effort.
This is a big play for me. If its one league I can pick regular winners from its the CFL. Before I knew of each team's intentions I liked Montreal anyways and thought the line would be around 3. Montreal is the better team and has owned Toronto the last few years. With the team news I'd say an accurate line would be Montreal -6 or 7.
Expect the line to climb by kickoff as the news leaks out. Maybe a good middle opportunity available by then also.
Montreal by double digits.
